Welcome to Cloverlea, a dedicated cat only grooming salon that operates alongside our cattery. We prioritise the welfare of your cats and strive to provide the highest quality service in a safe, clean, and quiet environment.

Our grooming prices start at £25 plus VAT, varying based on the specific needs, coat condition, grooming history, and temperament of each cat. We can provide an estimate during your enquiry.

We happily accommodate both boarders and non-boarders, including those with challenging personalities. If your cat is boarding with us, you can also schedule a grooming session during their stay.

Price Range

Kitten groom (up to 12 months)     From £25.00  + VAT  (maximum charge £85.00 + VAT)

We recommend booking your kittens in for regular grooms, this will help them get used to the experience. It also makes it easier to groom them when they are older.

Short Haired Grooms  From £25.00 + VAT (maximum price £95.00 + VAT )

 Short haired cats need grooming too. There is the same amount of undercoat even if it is shorter.

Exotic Shorthair  From   £30.00  + VAT  (maximum price £95.00 + VAT)

This is the same as a short hair groom but as the coat is denser the groom will take longer 

Long Haired Grooms  From £35.00  + VAT (maximum price £120.00 + VAT)

Long haired cats need regular grooming to help keep their coat knot free and skin in good condition .

The maximum charge is calculated depending on the temperament of the cat, size of the cat, amount of clipping work/matt removal and condition of the coat and services undertaken.   We can give assurance the groom will not exceed the maximum price.

All grooms include an eye and ear clean, nail clip, groom through and dry bath

The following services  can be added and will be INCLUDED in the maximum price range

Bath and Dry

We bath your cat using excellent products leaving your cats coat shiny, silky and super clean.

(Products are and Kitten safe, Non toxic, Vegan Friendly, Not tested on animals and completely Biodegradable).

Lion Trim

Removal of all the coat from neck to tail, Leaving head and legs.  Suitable for matted cats. 

Panel Trim

This is the clipping of the fur on the cats belly. We shave from in between the front legs down to between the back legs. We would recommend this if your cat has very thick fur, is matted or it is too much for the cat to handle.

Hygiene trim

This can help cats keep clean. we would recommend this service to cats who are long haired and have problems with dirt and poo getting stuck in their fur.

Matt removal

This is where we remove matts that are in the coat. We use the safest clippers for this job so that we can get the matts off without injury. We will only shave what is necessary. If we can brush out the matts then we will not shave.

Additional Handling

Dependent on the temperament of the cat or positioning on the cat during matt removal it can be necessary to include a 3rd handler during the groom for the safety of the cat.

Nail Trim  Only– From £15 plus VAT – This is where we cup the tip off of the cats nail (only what is necessary).

Maintenance Grooms

Bring your cat in every 8 weeks to make sure your cats coat remains in good condition and matt free.

10% will be taken off the price of the basic groom price

Guinea Pig Grooming

Nail trim - £7.50 plus VAT

Hair trim - £15 plus VAT

Bath and Nail trim - £20 plus VAT

Brush out - £10 plus VAT

Training

Christine and Jodie are currently studying for a diploma and certificate in cat grooming. We are training at a school in London, where we are leaning from one of the best cat groomers in the country.

Christine has been running the cattery for 15 years and she is always working hard to achieve and maintain a 5 star license. She has recently obtained 100% in the Award for Feline Welfare, Behaviour and Psychology. Christine is now studying to achieve a Diploma in Cat grooming.

Jodie has been working at the cattery for nearly 5 years, starting off as work experience and now part time at the cattery and groomer. She graduated from Moulton College (July 2022) with a Distinction ** in level 3 extended diploma Animal Welfare. Jodie has received her Certificate in Cat Grooming.
