Welcome to Cloverlea, a cat grooming salon running alongside our cattery.

We are passionate about delivering the best possible service to our customers. Your cats welfare is the main focus of everything we do.

We ensure that every cat will be handled in a safe, clean and quiet environment.

Our Grooming prices start from £25 plus VAT. This depends on what is required and the cats coat condition, grooming history, and temperament. We will be able to give you an estimate of the groom.

Our cat grooming salon is located next to the cattery and run by the owner Christine. Boarders and non boarders are all welcome. 

We welcome difficult and grumpy cats.

Cats that are booked to board with us can book a groom while they are staying.

Why Should We Groom Cats?

Grooming cats on a regular basis will help to improve their hygiene and their overall health. Frequent grooming will:

Reduce the amount of moulting.

Improve your cats circulation.

Reduce fur-balls when the cat is shedding their coat.

Loosen matts in the fur, which will reduce/eliminate the soreness and discomfort.

Keep their nails trim and tidy.

De - grease your cats coat and leave clean and silky smooth.

Reduce the worry you feel if your cats coat is in need of attention

A well-groomed cat will also help you keep your home clean and free from excessive hair.

Our Services

Cloverlea Grooming Salon offers a cat grooming service that focuses on providing the best possible experience for your cat. Whether your feline friend is young or old, we will try our hardest to make sure they are comfortable and happy at all times. The cats welfare and comfort is always our top priority.

We offer the following services.

Grooms:

Kitten groom - From £25 plus VAT – We recommend booking your kittens in for regular grooms. This will help them get used to the experience. It also makes it easier to groom them when they are older.

Short Haired Grooms – From £25 plus VAT – Short haired cats need grooming too. There is the same amount of undercoat even if it is shorter.

If your cat is booked in for a short hair groom then they will be having an eye and ear clean, nail clip, brush through, and a dry bath.

Exotic Shorthair -  From £30.00 Plus VAT - This is the same as a short hair groom but as the coat is denser the groom will take longer 

Long Haired Grooms – From £35 plus VAT – Long haired cats need regular grooming to help keep their coat knot free.

*All grooms come with a free eye and ear clean, nail clip, groom through, dry bath*

Bath and Dry - £15.00 extra plus VAT - This is where we bath your cat using excellent products leaving your cats coat shiny, silky and super clean.

(Products are and Kitten safe, Non toxic, Vegan Friendly, Not tested on animals and completely Biodegradable).

Lion Trim - From £50.00 plus VAT Removal of all the coat from neck to tail, Leaving head and legs.  Suitable for matted cats.  

Panel Trim – £15.00 extra plus VAT - This is where we take off the fur on the cats belly. We shave from in between the front legs down to between the back legs. We would recommend this if your cat has very thick fur, is matted or it is too much for the cat to handle.

Hygiene trim – £5 extra plus VAT -  This can help cats keep clean. we would recommend this service to cats who are long haired and have problems with dirt and poo getting stuck in their fur.

Matt removal – from £10.00 plus VAT - This is where we remove matts that are in the coat. We use the safest clippers for this job so that we can get the matts off without injury. We will only shave what is necessary. If we can brush out the matts then we will not shave.

Nail trim – From £15 plus VAT – This is where we cup the tip off of the cats nail. We take off what is necessary.

Maintenance Grooms

Bring your cat in every 8 weeks to make sure your cats coat remains in good condition and matt free.

Short hair maintenance groom - £28.00 * Long hair maintenance groom -£40.00 * Exotic short hair maintenance groom - £34.00

Nail trim - £7.50 plus VAT

Hair trim - £15 plus VAT

Training

Christine and Jodie are currently studying for a diploma and certificate in cat grooming. We are training at a school in London, where we are leaning from one of the best cat groomers in the country.

Christine has been running the cattery for 14 years and she is always working hard to achieve and maintain a 5 star license. She has recently obtained 100% in the Award for Feline Welfare, Behaviour and Psychology. Christine is now studying to achieve a Diploma in Cat grooming.

Jodie has been working at the cattery for nearly 3 years, starting off as work experience and now part time at the cattery and groomer. She graduated from Moulton College (July 2022) with a Distinction ** in level 3 extended diploma Animal Welfare. Jodie is now studying for a Certificate in Cat Grooming.
